Pet Bather Love Dogs? Get Paid to Work With Them Every Day. Dogs' Own Grooming & Grooming School is looking for a dependable, compassionate Bather to join our team. This is an active, hands-on position for someone who genuinely enjoys working with dogs and takes pride in providing a safe, clean, and positive grooming experience. Our team believes in doing what is best for the dog, solving problems, treating people and animals with compassion, and building long-term relationships with our clients. What You'll Do Bathe and thoroughly dry dogs and cats according to Dogs' Own standards and client requests. Safely handle and care for a variety of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Communicate any health, skin, coat, behavioral, or other concerns to the groomer, supervisor, or client as appropriate. Maintain accurate grooming and client records. Keep bathing, drying, and work areas clean, organized, and sanitary. Clean and disinfect tubs, kennels, equipment, floors, and other areas throughout the day. Manage laundry, trash, supplies, and other daily shop needs. Complete opening and closing responsibilities. Monitor supplies and communicate when items need to be reordered. Help maintain a safe, professional environment for dogs, clients, and coworkers. Cross-train in other areas of the business, including Front Desk, and support the team where needed. We're Looking For Someone Who Genuinely enjoys working with dogs and animals. Is dependable, hardworking, and comfortable staying busy throughout the day. Can safely handle dogs of different sizes, breeds, and personalities. Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in keeping a clean workspace. Communicates well and works collaboratively with a team. Is compassionate, patient, and calm when working with animals. Is willing to learn and take direction. Can recognize and communicate concerns about a dog's health, behavior, or condition. Is comfortable working in a physically demanding environment. Previous professional bathing or grooming experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. This Is a Physical Job You will spend much of your day standing, bending, lifting, bathing, drying, cleaning, and working around wet dogs and lots of hair. The job can be messy. You will get wet, you will get hairy, and every day will be different. Candidates must be able to safely lift and handle dogs as required by the position. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted is required. Because you are working with animals, there is also a possibility of scratches, nips, or bites. Our Team At Dogs' Own, everyone contributes to the customer and dog experience. Our team works together rather than staying in separate roles, so Bathers are cross-trained in other areas of the business, including Front Desk.
