Overview Join our vibrant team as a Kennel Attendant and become a vital part of providing exceptional care for animals in our facility. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our farm. Your enthusiasm and dedication will ensure each animal receives the attention and care they deserve. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals, develop valuable skills, and contribute to their well-being every day. Responsibilities Provide daily care, feeding, and exercise for dogs and other animals housed in the kennel. Handle animals with patience and confidence, ensuring proper restraint and safety protocols are followed. Perform cleaning duties such as sanitizing kennels, bedding, and common areas to maintain a hygienic environment. Be able to handle large breed animals, and providing basic animal care as needed. Monitor animals for signs of illness or distress and communicate observations to manager personnel promptly. Be able to clean up after bunnies, chickens and quail. Be able to make sure all bunnies, chickens, quail and lambs are feed and watered. Skills Experience in large breed animal handling that demonstrates patience and effective communication with animals. Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is not required but a plus. Good communication skills Abilitiy and initiative, working with minimal supervision and direction. Knowledge of pet grooming techniques and pet sitting responsibilities. Strong animal handling skills combined with the ability to restrain animals safely when letting animals out for exercise. Flexibility and ability to manage multiple tasks in a farm environment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when moving supplies or large animals. Basic understanding of animal care standards, including feeding routines, sanitation practices, and health monitoring. Additional Requirements
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
  • Physical ability to walk and/or stand on your feet throughout a normal workday
  • Allergic conditions, which would be aggravated when handling or working with animals, may be a disqualification
  • Ability and willingness to handle large breed dogs Ability to handle extreme weather conditions on some days.

$65.00 - $95.00 per day
