Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dog Walker and Pet Sitter to join our growing team. •Strong communication skills both written and verbal are a necessity. This position will be seasonal with the opportunity for long term for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
Arrive on time and ensure pets receive the care and exercise they need Perform half-hour visits and overnight stays as scheduled Travel to all areas within our service region as needed (Bristol & Torrington Areas) Monitor each pet's health and behavior, reporting any concerns to the client and supervisor Clean up after dogs, including proper disposal of waste and any messes before or during visits Follow client instructions for feeding, medication, and special care requirements Maintain accurate visit records, including time, distance walked, photos, and observations via our mobile app Deliver outstanding customer service, build positive client relationships, and communicate clearly and professionally
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience working with animals in a professional setting Knowledge of pet CPR and first aid (training provided if needed) Ability to safely handle and walk dogs of all sizes and temperaments Proficiency in animal restraint techniques when necessary Basic understanding of dog behavior and training principles Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent physical fitness and ability to perform active, outdoor work in all weather Dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor
Additional Information:
This position starts part-time seasonal and may grow into a full-time role for the right candidate Flexibility and availability at various times throughout the day are required Legally registered vehicle and valid driver's license Reliability and excellent attendance are essential Compensation details and schedule will be discussed during the interview process How to
