Job Description
Job Summary Love dogs, enjoy staying active, and don't mind getting dirty? We're looking for a dependable, energetic Dog Daycare Attendant / Dog Handler to join our team! This is a hands-on, fast-paced position caring for dogs in our off-leash daycare and boarding facility. You'll supervise playgroups, provide daily care for our boarding guests, help keep the facility clean, and rotate front-desk duties with the team during evening pick-up. This job is fun, but it's also real work! Expect lots of time on your feet, cleaning, working indoors and outdoors, and handling dogs of all sizes and energy levels! Schedule
- 5 days per week, including 1 weekend day
- Shifts primarily 10:30 AM-7:00 PM or 12:30 PM-7:00 PM
- Must be 18 or older
- $18/hour Responsibilities Supervise off-leash dog play and monitor behavior/body language Safely handle and rotate dogs throughout the facility Feed and administer medications to boarding dogs as directed Monitor dogs' health and well-being Clean and sanitize kennels, play areas, yards, bowls, and equipment Follow established safety, feeding, cleaning, and daycare routines Rotate evening front-desk/pick-up duties with the team Greet clients, assist with pick-up, and provide friendly customer service What We're Looking For•Dependable with consistent attendance•Confident and comfortable around dogs of all sizes and personalities•Calm and attentive in a busy, fast-paced environment•Strong attention to detail•Friendly with good communication and customer-service skills•Comfortable with lots of cleaning and physical activity•Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs•Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather•Willing to learn dog behavior, body language, and safe group play Previous animal-care experience is a plus, but not required — we're happy to train the right person!
