Bushy Hill Nature Center is looking for a part-time temporary farm hand / animal caretaker, starting in mid-October and ending in late winter or early spring (to be determined). Duties include feeding, mucking stalls and pasture, cleaning water buckets, putting animals in & out, grooming, etc. Small reptile care tasks (water, cleaning, feeding) are required as well. May occasionally be asked to give short tours of the farm to the public or school groups; we are open to the public and as such this role requires the ability to communicate appropriately with community members and visitors. The ideal candidate will show up to work regardless of external circumstances as the animals do not take days off. Animal experience is preferred but not required; we are willing to train, but you must be comfortable with being around large animals.
