We offer a competitive commission structure starting at 40%. Commissions will increase based on performance and experience. You keep all of your tips. Bathers provided on busy days. This is a W-2 job, work is very steady. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience. We need someone who can work until closing on certain weekdays and also cover some weekend shifts. Flexibility with scheduling is essential for this role
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, a strong understanding of various dog breeds, and expertise in grooming techniques. As a Dog Groomer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to ensure our clients' pets look and feel their best. You will work closely with pet owners to meet their specific needs and provide exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and haircuts according to breed standards and individual client preferences. Assess the condition of the pet's coat and skin to determine the appropriate grooming services. Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic grooming area and equipment. Handle dogs with care, ensuring their comfort and safety during the grooming process. Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming needs and provide advice on maintaining their pets' grooming routine. Provide excellent customer service, addressing any questions or concerns owners may have. Maintain accurate records of each pet's grooming history, including any special instructions or needs. Stay up-to-date with grooming trends, techniques, and safety protocols. Respond to appointment requests.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a dog groomer, with a strong portfolio of work. Knowledge of breed-specific grooming techniques. Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Strong communication skills, both with pet owners and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Passion for animals and their well-being. Certification in dog grooming is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Comfortable lifting and handling dogs of varying sizes. Ability to use grooming tools and equipment safely.
