We are currently hiring dependable team members for weekday daytime pet care visits.
Please note:
Most visits occur Monday through Friday between 9am and 4pm and this position typically starts at approximately 5-10 hours per week . Before applying, please understand that this position involves driving between client homes throughout the day, working outdoors in all weather conditions, walking dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and managing a schedule of back-to-back pet care visits. Employees are expected to arrive on time, complete visits as scheduled, and remain on track throughout their route to ensure pets receive care when promised. A typical shift involves managing multiple scheduled appointments throughout the day. Team members are responsible for reviewing care instructions, traveling between client homes, entering and securing homes, providing pet care services, completing visit reports to clients, and arriving to the next scheduled appointment on time. Successful employees are highly organized , manage their time effectively, and can maintain a consistent pace throughout their shift. Team members work independently in clients' homes and are trusted with keys, lockboxes, alarm systems, and access to pets, homes, and personal property. Professionalism , honesty , and attention to detai l are essential. We are looking for team members who view pet care as a professional responsibility, not just an opportunity to spend time with animals.
Requirements:
Available at least 2 weekdays with definite availability between 9a and 3p Comfortable working outdoors year-round, including rain, snow, heat, humidity, and cold temperatures Must be 18 years of age or older Must pass a criminal background check Valid driver's license Access to a personal reliable vehicle with your name on insurance Smartphone with internet access Comfortable using smartphone apps to manage schedules, navigation, and client report cards Reliable, punctual, and a strong communicator Able to walk dogs for up to 60 minutes, kneel, sit on the floor, bend, and climb stairs Willing to sign a restrictive covenants agreement Genuine love for animals
What You'll Do:
Travel between client homes throughout Trumbull and Easton Provide safe, professional care for dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, and temperaments Follow detailed care instructions and safety procedures Complete detailed visit reports to clients through our app Represent McNamara Pet Services professionally in clients' homes and neighborhoods

Pay & Benefits:
$18.00 per hour W-2 employee status (taxes withheld) Paid weekly Paid training Bonding and liability insurance provided All pet care equipment supplied
Hours:
This position typically starts at approximately 5-10 hours per week Additional hours may become available as the company grows and based on employee performance and availability Hours are based on client demand and are never guaranteed We are seeking long-term team members.
