Responsibilities Safely handle and restrain animals during examinations, grooming, or feeding to ensure their safety and comfort Provide pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, and trimming to maintain hygiene and appearance Assist with dog training sessions to promote good behavior and obedience Support staff with basic animal care tasks such as feeding, administering medications, and monitoring health status Offer services by caring for animals in their owners' absence, ensuring their needs are met with compassion and professionalism Maintain cleanliness of kennels and play yards while adhering to sanitation protocols Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding care instructions, behavioral concerns, or treatment updates Assist with heavy lifting when necessary for transporting supplies or animals safely within the facility Skills Proven experience in dog handling and training techniques that promote positive reinforcement Experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable Skilled in animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both pets and staff Knowledge of pet grooming practices to keep animals clean and well-maintained Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for equipment or animal transport Animal care expertise including feeding routines, medication administration, and health monitoring Familiarity with kennel operations and maintaining a clean, organized environment Join us as a Pet Care Specialist where your enthusiasm for animals meets your professional skills!
