Job Description

If you have professional hands-on animal-care experience and would enjoy some supplemental income using your skills, WiseDog Pet Care may be a great fit. We are looking for a dependable, experienced pet care professional to join our small team providing in-home care for established WiseDog clients throughout our service area: North Clermont (34711), Minneola, Montverde, and Groveland. What the Work Looks Like Our pet sitters travel directly to clients' homes to provide personalized care based on each pet's established routine. Depending on the assignment, visits may include: Feeding and refreshing water Dog walks and potty breaks Litter box care Administering routine medications Play, companionship, and enrichment Following detailed care instructions Providing updates and photos to clients after visits Monitoring pets for changes in behavior, appetite, mobility, or well-being Basic home care tasks associated with the visit The Person We're Looking For We're interested in someone who takes animal care seriously and understands that being a professional pet sitter involves much more than simply loving animals. Our goal isn't simply to hire another pet sitter. We're looking for someone who wants to earn the trust of our clients and become an important part of what we're building.
You should be someone who:
Is highly dependable and follows through on commitments Can confidently handle the care and special attention required by senior pets, multi-pet households, and pets with individual behavioral or medical needs. Communicates proactively when something doesn't look or feel right Is comfortable working independently Can carefully follow written instructions and established procedures Uses a force-free, positive approach to handling pets Understands that schedules can include early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, rain, and driving after dark Takes pride in giving clients consistent, professional service
IMPORTANT
Applicants must have verifiable animal-care experience on their resume. This experience may include professional pet sitting, veterinary, kennel, shelter, rescue, training, boarding, grooming, or other pet industry-related jobs.
You must also:
Have reliable personal transportation Hold a valid driver's license and automobile insurance Pass a background check Be comfortable traveling between 2 to 4 client homes, within our service area, per shift Be able to use a smartphone and apps throughout the workday Live within or very near our primary service area, which includes Clermont 34711, Minneola 34715, Montverde 34756, and Groveland 34736. We offer Scheduling Options that work around your current schedule: We provide pet care services every day of the year.
Our primary service windows are:
Morning:
approximately 6:30-10:30
AM Midday:
approximately 11:00 AM-3:30
PM Late Afternoon/Evening:
approximately 4:00 -9:00 PM Some team members may also have the opportunity to accept Extended Companion Care or Overnight assignments , depending on availability and experience. These assignments are optional and are not required for every sitter. Compensation This is a part-time independent contractor opportunity with assignments offered based on client demand, sitter availability, geographic location, and experience. Contractors are paid weekly. Compensation varies by the type and length of service performed. Sitters also receive 100% of client tips associated with their visits. This position can grow as you become familiar with our clients and demonstrate consistency, reliability, and availability. Our goal isn't to place as many sitters in the field as possible—we want dependable people our clients can trust in their homes and with the animals they love. Pay:
$50.00 - $250.00 per week
