- Walk dogs in various weather conditions, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and mental stimulation.
- Maintain control of dogs at all times, using proper handling techniques to ensure safety.
- Provide basic care such as feeding, administering medication, and cleaning up after pets.
- Monitor the behavior and health of each dog during walks, reporting any concerns to the pet owner.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning up any messes made during walks.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the well-being of both the dogs and yourself. Skills
- Strong animal handling skills, particularly with dogs of varying temperaments.
- Experience in dog handling or pet sitting.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
- Knowledge of animal restraint techniques for safe handling.
- Familiarity with veterinary practices or experience as a veterinary technician is a plus.
- Familiarity with different dog harnesses and collars
- Proficient in general pet care practices including grooming and hygiene maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and provide updates on their pets.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare.
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Pay:
$15.00- $30.
