Job Description

About us This is a part-time position with a schedule of Tuesday through Saturday. Pay is $15 per hour, plus 50% of the tips earned from the dogs you prepare for the groomer. Auggies Pet Spa by Lisa is a small well established business in the Fort Lauderdale/ Plantation area. Our goal is to provide a stress-free environment for all our clients fur babies, while we make them look fabulous. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Bather to join our team. You will work closely with pet owners and their pets, creating a welcoming environment while delivering top-notch care. If you have a passion for animals and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this position is perfect for you.

MUST LOVE ANIMALS. MUST HAVE SALON EXPERIENCE!

I would prefer someone with experience in a salon environment. Dog Bather/must have the following traits: Must have previous experience in animal care or handling. Must have prior experience in a Pet Salon as a bather. Familiarity with veterinary practices or experience as a veterinary assistant or technician is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage large or energetic pets safely. Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners. Knowledge of basic grooming techniques and pet care practices is a must. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Join us in providing loving care to pets while ensuring they look their best! Be willing to learn new things and have ability to educate clients . Daily Tasks Include, but not limited to: Bathe and dry pets according to their specific needs and preferences. De-mat and de-shed the dogs when needed. Handle animals safely and comfortably during the bathing process. Maintain cleanliness of the bathing area and grooming tools. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs. Monitor the health and behavior of pets during grooming sessions, reporting any concerns to management. Perform heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring the safety of both the pet and yourself. Assist with cleaning after the work day is done.
