Pet Stylist Ready to Paw-ty Inc. Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Pet Stylist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pet grooming and animal handling, with a focus on providing exceptional grooming services for dogs and cats. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly environment dedicated to animal care and customer satisfaction. The Pet Stylist will be responsible for ensuring each pet receives personalized grooming tailored to their needs while maintaining the highest standards of safety and hygiene. Duties Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and finishing touches for pets, primarily dogs. Handle animals safely and compassionately, utilizing proper restraint techniques to ensure comfort and safety during grooming procedures. Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools, equipment, and work area to uphold hygiene standards. Assess each pet's coat condition, skin health, and temperament to determine appropriate grooming methods. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming preferences, special needs, and after-care instructions. Manage appointment scheduling and ensure timely service delivery. Assist with check in/check out of clients Uphold safety protocols related to animal handling, heavy lifting, and use of grooming equipment. Qualifications Previous experience in pet grooming or animal care is required; certifications in pet grooming or animal handling are a plus. Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is advantageous. Strong animal handling skills with the ability to restrain animals safely and humanely. Experience with veterinary technician or assistant roles, as well as kennel experience, is beneficial. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting pets or equipment). Passion for animals and dedication to providing high-quality care in a professional setting.
