Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Part Time Kennel Attendant and become a vital part of providing exceptional care and attention to our beloved animals. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for pets while assisting with their daily needs. Your enthusiasm and dedication will ensure each animal receives the highest level of care, making a positive impact on their well-being and happiness. This position offers an engaging opportunity to work closely with animals, utilizing your pet handling skills and veterinary experience to support their health and comfort. Duties Provide attentive care to animals by feeding, watering, and monitoring their health throughout the day Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas to promote a hygienic environment Assist with dog activities and reinforce positive behaviors during interactions Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to prevent injury or stress Support staff with basic animal care tasks such as administering medications or treatments as directed Perform pet grooming and pet sitting duties to ensure animals are comfortable and well-presented Engage in animal handling activities including walking dogs, playing, and socializing to promote mental stimulation and physical activity Requirements Prior experience working with animals in a kennel, veterinary clinic, or pet care setting is required. Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures is advantageous Strong animal handling skills with the ability to safely restrain and manage various breeds and sizes Familiarity with pet grooming, daycare and boarding, and basic tasks Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for cleaning supplies or animal equipment A proactive attitude with a passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing compassionate care This full-time position is paid and offers an exciting environment where your love for animals can thrive. If you're energetic, detail-oriented, and eager to make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners, we want to hear from you! Lots of room for advancement and commission oppurtunites after 90 days. We do 24 hours paid training at $14 an hour to ensure you are a good fit and that you yourself like the position before you are officially hired.
Pay:
$15.00 - $16.00 per hour

We have morning, afternoon and evening shifts, that you will be required to work, are you able to do any shift you are scheduled for? You will be on your feet for extended periods of time in all weather types, are you willing to do this? You will be working with dogs of different sizes and personalities ex: mouthy, jumpy, pull on leash, are you able to handle this? You will need to lift 50 plus pounds at times, are you able to do this?
