Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Experienced Kennel Technician to join our vibrant pet care team! Responsibilities Provide exceptional pet care by feeding, watering, administering medications, and monitoring animals' health and behavior. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels, cages, and common areas through regular cleaning and disinfecting routines. Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques, ensuring their comfort and security during grooming, feeding, or medical procedures. Assist with pet boarding services, including check-ins, check-outs, and daily updates for pet owners. Support outdoor activity such as walks to promote physical activity and mental stimulation for pets. Collaborate with veterinary staff or veterinary technicians to report health concerns or unusual behaviors promptly. Engage in pet grooming tasks like bathing, brushing, and nail trims to keep animals comfortable and well-maintained. Uphold facility sanitization standards by following cleaning protocols diligently to ensure a hygienic environment for animals and staff. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs and well-being. Experience Prior veterinary experience is highly desirable. Experience in pet sitting or animal care facilities demonstrates your ability to handle diverse animal needs confidently. Kennel experience or working in pet boarding facilities provides a solid foundation for this role. Familiarity with animal behavior principles enhances your ability to manage different temperaments effectively. Hands-on experience with pet grooming, animal restraint, and outdoor work is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting and team lifting safely when handling supplies or large animals is essential.
