Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Senior Mobile Pet Groomer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will deliver top-tier grooming services directly at our clients' locations, providing convenience and exceptional care for pets and their owners. Your expertise in pet grooming, animal handling, and customer service will ensure each pet receives personalized attention, leaving them looking and feeling their best. This position offers the opportunity to work independently while making a positive impact on pets' lives and strengthening relationships with pet owners. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, nail trimming, and coat maintenance for a variety of dog breeds and other companion animals. Handle animals with care and confidence, utilizing proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and yourself during grooming procedures. Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences, provide pet care advice, and address any questions or concerns. Maintain a clean and organized work environment by sanitizing grooming tools, equipment, and work areas after each appointment. Manage scheduling efficiently to accommodate client appointments while maintaining high-quality service standards. Assist with pet training techniques when appropriate to improve behavior during grooming sessions. Lift heavy equipment or pets safely as needed to ensure smooth workflow and safety compliance. Experience Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong background in dog handling and animal care. Knowledge of veterinary procedures or veterinary technician experience is highly desirable to better understand pet health needs. Experience working with veterinary assistants or veterinary technicians is a plus for comprehensive animal care understanding. Familiarity with animal restraint techniques, pet coat styling, and pet nail trimming is essential. Background in dog training, animal handling, equine experience or similar fields enhances your ability to manage diverse animals confidently. Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners about pet care routines and grooming preferences. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a mobile setting.
