On-site Job Summary ZooWorld is seeking a motivated and dependable Animal Care Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality daily animal care while ensuring all practices align with established protocols and ZooWorld's animal welfare standards. This position also plays a key role in guest engagement, helping create memorable and educational experiences for visitors of all ages. Responsibilities Provide daily animal care, including feeding, cleaning, monitoring, and assisting with veterinary procedures Deliver engaging and educational interactions with zoo guests Monitor animal behavior and health; promptly report any concerns Safely handle animals using proper techniques and knowledge of behavior and anatomy Maintain cleanliness and organization of enclosures, tools, and common areas Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisors and leadership Qualifications Experience working with animals in any capacity preferred Public speaking experience or the ability to confidently present to groups required Strong interest in animal welfare, conservation, and education Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions Previous animal care or husbandry experience preferred but not required Experience with domestic livestock and horses is a plus Strong communication and teamwork skills Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Health insurance Paid time off Employee discount Schedule 8-hour shift Day shift About ZooWorld ZooWorld is a 5-acre zoological park located on beautiful Panama City Beach in the heart of the Emerald Coast, offering interactive animal experiences for guests of all ages.
