As a Dog Groomer, you will provide professional grooming services while building trust with each pet in your care. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling according to breed standards and customer preferences Handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments with patience, care, and confidence using proper animal restraint techniques Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in excellent condition Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming requests and provide professional advice on pet care and maintenance Monitor dogs during grooming for signs of stress or health issues, alerting veterinary staff if necessary Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure the well-being of animals, staff, and clients at all times Requirements Minimum of 2 years of professional dog grooming experience. Ability to safely groom dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. Must be able to lift and handle dogs weighing up to 60 pounds. Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods throughout the workday. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining a positive team-oriented attitude. Must be patient, calm, and compassionate when handling pets. Ability to recognize signs of stress, illness, or injury in pets and communicate concerns appropriately. Must maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment. Comfortable working in a salon environment and managing multiple appointments per day. Professional appearance and demeanor. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Experience with hand-scissoring, breed-standard trims Schedule & Compensation Full-time preferred; part-time applicants will also be considered. Typical salon hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Compensation is commission-based at 50% of grooming revenue , with strong earning potential in a growing salon.
