Mobile Dog Groomer Dog On It Pet Services is seeking an experienced, dependable, and passionate Mobile Dog Groomer to join our team. This position is perfect for a professional groomer who enjoys working independently, takes pride in their work, and is committed to providing exceptional care to every pet. You will be operating a fully equipped mobile grooming van, serving clients throughout the Treasure Coast while representing our company's reputation for quality and compassionate pet care. We are looking for someone who treats every dog as if it were their own and understands that outstanding customer service is just as important as a beautiful groom. Responsibilities Perform complete dog grooming services including bathing, blow drying, brushing, deshedding, haircuts, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and sanitary trims. Safely handle dogs of all breeds, sizes, temperaments, and ages. Groom according to client requests while maintaining high-quality grooming standards. Communicate professionally with clients regarding grooming recommendations, coat condition, matting, skin concerns, and aftercare. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized grooming van throughout the day. Properly clean and sanitize all equipment after each groom. Report any injuries, medical concerns, or unusual behavior immediately. Maintain accurate appointment notes and communicate schedule updates when necessary. Represent Dog On It Pet Services with professionalism, kindness, and integrity. Minimum Qualifications Minimum 2 years of professional dog grooming experience. Ability to complete 4-6 quality grooms per day while maintaining safety and attention to detail. Experience grooming all common breeds and coat types. Strong scissoring and finishing skills. Ability to safely groom puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with special grooming needs. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Dependable, punctual, and highly organized. Driver Requirements Valid Florida driver's license. Clean driving record. Comfortable driving a full-size mobile grooming van. Must be insurable under the company's commercial auto insurance policy. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods. Comfortable working in a mobile grooming environment throughout the day. Equipment The groomer must provide their own professional grooming tools, including clippers, blades, shears, combs, brushes, and personal equipment. Dog On It Pet Services provides: Fully equipped mobile grooming van Grooming table and tub High-velocity dryer Shampoo and conditioners Towels and cleaning supplies Scheduling and client management Marketing and client appointments Preferred Qualifications CPR/First Aid certification for pets (preferred but not required). Experience with hand scissoring, deshedding, and breed-standard grooming. Fear Free or low-stress handling experience is a plus. Please note:
This is a drug-free workplace. No smoking or vaping is permitted inside the company grooming van. Company vehicles are equipped with video surveillance for the safety of pets, employees, and the business. Compensation Competitive commission based on experience and performance.
