The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet the needs of our valued pet parents. Duties You must be able to: Perform grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs. The ability to do the same with cats, a plus. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming products and techniques Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pet's grooming needs and preferences. Handle animals safely and effectively using proper restraint techniques to ensure their comfort and safety during grooming. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to hygiene standards and be able to help to do the same, as part of a team, shop-wide. Keep accurate records of services performed and any special instructions from pet owners on our computer system. Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and products to provide the best care possible. Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming, at a minimum of 2 years Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners Punctuality Knowledge of animal care practices, including animal restraint techniques Ability to handle various breeds of dogs with patience and compassion (ability to do the same with cats is not required but a plus) Pride in your work A passion for animals and a commitment to their well-being Join our team where your love for animals can shine through your work!
