Fully interactive daycare, boarding, and grooming pet care facility is looking for PT kennel assistant to care for and help manage dogs. Must be at least 18 y/o, have your own transportation, and be reliable. Must have open availability weekdays, weekends, and holidays for a total of 15-25 hours/week with potential of increased hours. Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care for animals in the kennel, including feeding, watering, and exercising
• Clean and maintain kennel areas to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for the animals
• Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the veterinary staff
• Administer medications or treatments as directed by the veterinary team
• Assist with handling and restraining animals during examinations or procedures
• Provide basic training and socialization for dogs to improve their behavior and adoptability
• Interact with customers and provide excellent customer service, answering questions and addressing concerns

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with animals, such as pet care, dog training, or pet sitting
• Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments safely and confidently
• Knowledge of basic grooming techniques is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customers
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require heavy lifting or prolonged periods of standing or walking
• Familiarity with veterinary procedures or experience as a veterinary assistant or technician is a plus
• Willingness to learn and follow protocols for animal care and safety
