Job Description

Job Overview Thank you for your interest in joining the Mystic Paws team! We are currently seeking responsible, highly dependable individuals who are available for drop-in visits, farm checks, and overnight stays. Minimum Requirements to
Apply:
  • Reliable, insured personal transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Smartphone with a reliable data plan to run our team tracking software.
  • Consistent availability, including a willingness to work weekends and major holidays.
  • Ability to work independently outdoors in all Georgia weather conditions.
  • Ideally located within Newton County or immediately adjacent service areas.
Duties Provide attentive pet sitting services, including feeding, administering medication, and ensuring overall well-being Engage pets with play, exercise, and mental stimulation to promote healthy activity levels Perform dog walking and outdoor activities to meet exercise needs and reduce stress Handle animal restraint safely during grooming, veterinary visits, or medication administration Monitor pet behavior closely and report any concerns or health issues to owners promptly Assist with overnight in-home care to ensure pets are comfortable and secure during extended stays Maintain cleanliness of pet areas, including bedding, feeding stations, and outdoor spaces Communicate regularly with clients regarding pet status, special needs, and daily updates Experience Prior experience in pet sitting or dog walking is highly valued Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal behavior management Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is advantageous Familiarity with animal handling, animal restraint techniques, and pet grooming practices Experience working with various animals including dogs, cats, and horses (equine experience preferred) Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for supplies or outdoor work equipment Strong client communication skills to build trust and ensure clear expectations are met •
Please Note:
This is an independent contractor position on an as-needed basis. Hours fluctuate based on client travel schedules. However, our business is rapidly growing, and there are frequent opportunities for consistent, increased volume for the right team members.
Pay:
$50.00
