Jabula Dog Acadamy is looking for a dependable and hard-working Kennel Technician to join the team. This role is hands-on and active, focused on the daily care, safety, and well-being of dogs in our daycare, boarding, and training programs. The ideal candidate is a true dog lover who is comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and breeds and thrives in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage dog play groups, ensuring safe and positive interactions Monitor dog behavior and intervene appropriately when needed Feed dogs according to individual schedules and dietary needs Administer medications as directed, following proper procedures Clean and sanitize kennels, play areas, and common spaces Maintain a safe, organized, and hygienic environment Assist with moving dogs safely between play areas, kennels, and training spaces Communicate effectively with team members regarding dog behavior and care
Qualifications:
Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments Ability to read and respond to dog body language Reliable, punctual, and able to follow routines consistently Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks Team player with a positive attitude Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
