Responsibilities Perform pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, styling, and pet coat styling to meet client specifications and breed standards. Handle animals safely using proper animal restraint techniques and ensure their comfort throughout grooming procedures. Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other grooming maintenance tasks with precision and care. Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide professional advice on pet care. Manage animal handling duties such as dog handling, companion animal handling, and general animal care during grooming sessions. Assist with kennel cleaning, pet sitting, and heavy lifting when necessary to ensure a clean and safe environment for pets. Maintain detailed records of grooming services provided, pet health considerations, and client preferences. Skills Proven experience in pet grooming, including pet coat styling and pet nail trimming. Strong dog handling skills with the ability to manage various temperaments safely and confidently. Knowledge of veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience is a plus for understanding animal health needs. Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and general animal handling practices. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members. Experience with kennel operations or pet sitting enhances your ability to provide comprehensive care. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or heavy animals.
