Must be willing to work weekends. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, exercising, and administering medication as directed Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas through thorough cleaning and sanitization to ensure a hygienic environment Handle animals with patience and confidence, employing proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff Assist with pet boarding and pet sitting services, ensuring all animals are comfortable and well-cared-for during their stay Support veterinary technicians and assistants with animal handling, grooming, and basic medical procedures when needed Monitor animal behavior closely to identify signs of stress or illness, reporting concerns promptly to veterinary staff Uphold safety standards during outdoor work activities such as walking dogs or cleaning outdoor kennels; practice team lifting techniques for heavy objects or equipment Skills Previous veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience highly preferred Strong animal handling skills with knowledge of animal behavior and restraint techniques Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or pet grooming enhances your ability to care for diverse animals effectively Excellent customer service skills to communicate confidently with pet owners and team members Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during kennel cleaning or outdoor work activities Knowledge of pet care facility sanitization practices to maintain a clean environment Outdoor work experience is beneficial for tasks involving outdoor kennels or walking dogs regularly Join us in creating a safe, caring space where pets thrive!
