Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated, passionate and an experienced Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong background in pet care, grooming, and handling. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to pets, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with both pets and their owners. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including brushing, trimming, and styling of various breeds of dogs and other pets. Assess the condition of each pet's coat and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Handle pets safely and compassionately during grooming sessions to minimize stress. Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools and work areas to ensure a safe environment for pets. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet's grooming needs and any health concerns observed during grooming. Provide basic dog training tips to owners as needed, enhancing the overall experience for both pets and their families. Assist with animal handling in other areas of the facility as required, including daycare. Experience Must have at least 2 years experience in pet grooming is required; some training may be provided for the right candidate. Skills in dog handling, animal care, or veterinary technician roles are highly valued. Familiarity with dog training techniques or experience in equine care is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or equipment. A background in veterinary assistance or animal handling will enhance your application.
