Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Bather to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality bathing and grooming services to pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the process. As a Pet Bather, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the hygiene and appearance of our furry clients while creating a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Duties Bathe and groom pets according to breed standards and client preferences. Use appropriate bathing techniques and products to ensure the health of the pet's skin and coat. Dry pets using towels or dryers while ensuring their comfort and safety. Inspect pets for any signs of skin issues, parasites, or other health concerns, reporting findings to the veterinarian or management. Maintain cleanliness of grooming areas, equipment, and supplies. Assist in handling pets during grooming sessions, ensuring they are calm and secure. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pet's needs. Skills Experience in pet care or animal care , with a strong understanding of various breeds and their grooming requirements. Familiarity with kennel operations or experience as a veterinary technician is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or multiple pets. Proficient in animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during grooming sessions. Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or in animal handling , particularly with dogs, is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their pets. A passion for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional care.
