Job Description

Do you LOVE cats and want to make a difference in the lives of homeless cats by providing for their daily care and finding them loving, forever homes? Kitty Angel Rescue, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill cat rescue and adoption organization, has immediate part-time positions available for Adoption Representatives & Kennel Technicians at Kennesaw Petsmart, Hiram Petsmart, and our shelter in Powder Springs. First and foremost, the ideal candidate must LOVE cats and have extensive knowledge and experience in cat care. You must be professional, personable, honest, reliable, flexible, and possess a CAN-DO attitude in this fast-paced, ever-changing world of rescue. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with the general public. Experience working in a cat rescue organization, the pet care industry, or veterinary field is preferred.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and your own reliable transportation. Must be willing to work at any of our three locations: the Adoption Centers located at Hiram Petsmart and Kennesaw Petsmart, as well as our main shelter in Powder Springs. Must be willing to transport cats between locations in your personal vehicle. Must be willing to work on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Must be willing to CLEAN cages and follow strict, detailed cleaning procedures. Must be able to properly handle skittish, fearful cats. Must be able to scruff, clip nails, bathe, administer medications, etc. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be willing to make a long term commitment of at least 1 year.
