Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Kennel Manager and play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and happiness of our furry residents! This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with animals, supporting daily kennel operations, and assisting in providing exceptional pet care. You will help oversee the kennel environment, assist with training and handling, and ensure a safe, clean, and loving atmosphere for pets and staff alike. If you're passionate about animals and eager to develop your leadership skills in a fast-paced setting, this role is perfect for you! At Camp K-9 we provide daycare, boarding, and bathing. Duties Support the Kennel Manager in supervising daily kennel activities, including feeding, cleaning, and maintaining animal living areas Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and ensure their comfort during handling or grooming procedures Assist with animal intake and discharge processes, ensuring all records are accurately maintained Support customer service efforts by answering questions from pet owners and providing updates on their pets' well-being Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies, equipment, or animals safely within the facility Qualifications Previous experience with dog handling, training, or pet care is highly preferred Knowledge of veterinary procedures or veterinary technician experience is a plus Background in animal handling, restraint techniques, or kennel operations is desirable Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods Experience in pet grooming, pet sitting, or veterinary assistant roles will be advantageous Demonstrated commitment to animal welfare and excellent communication skills Join us in creating a caring environment where animals thrive! Pay:
$35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
