An Animal Care Worker or Manager manages animal care and grooming for a retail store that sells pets or for a pet grooming business. May also provide animal care and grooming at a kennel. Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

Job Description
- 8 -12 hour shifts
- Early Morning (5am), mid-day, or closing shift
- Key Holder
- Manage up to 5 employees at a time
- Prep food and medications as well as administer medications (no injectable medications)
- Answer phone calls and emails (replying to all messages before the shift is over)
- Scheduling appointments for boarding, daycare, new dog temperament tests, and grooming
- Oversee the Temperament Test process
- Dog lover
- Team-player
- At least 2 years of animal handling and management experenice
- Knowledge of dog behavior
- Reliable transportation
- MUST work weekends and holidays
- Attention to detail
- Self-starting with proactive work ethic
- Able to lift minimum of 40lbs, stay on your feet for extended periods
