Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and responsible Kennel Attendant to provide exceptional care for pets. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and the ability to ensure their safety, comfort, and happiness while their owners are away. This role requires flexibility, reliability, and strong customer service skills to build trust with pet owners. Duties Provide daily care for pets, including feeding, walking, and administering medication as needed. Ensure the safety and well-being of pets during visits. Engage in playtime and exercise to keep pets active and happy. Maintain a clean environment by cleaning up after pets and ensuring their living spaces are tidy. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet's behavior, health, and any concerns that may arise. Handle animals with care, employing proper animal restraint techniques when necessary. Assist with basic grooming tasks such as brushing, bathing, and nails trims. Keep detailed records of pet vaccines and preform temperament tests Extensive cleaning and Sanitation practices are required. Experience Positive attitude with the ability to work nights and holidays when needed is required Experience in animal handling, grooming, or training is preferred but not mandatory. Skills in customer service to foster positive relationships with pet owners. Familiarity with dog handling techniques and basic dog training principles is a plus. Experience as a veterinary technician or in a kennel environment is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as moving large bags of pet food or assisting larger animals. Knowledge of veterinary practices can be beneficial for recognizing health issues in pets.
