Responsibilities for Groomer
- Examine the dog's eyes, ears, and teeth for any lumps or swelling, and look for ticks and fleas under its coat. Recognize and alert dog owners to health concerns in their dogs, such as ear infections, skin disorders, or dental decay.
- Provide grooming services as requested. (Trim, clip, bath etc.)
- Contribute to the development of service options, client retention and growth.
- Utilize various grooming techniques and tools.
- Complete records as needed for compliance with laws and regulations. (ex: vaccine record keeping digitally)
- Fill out detailed reports and keep records on services in our online system.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers.
- Escalates issues to managers promptly
- Able to read animal body language
- Collaborates with managers and other technicians
- Follows all company policies and procedures
- Adheres to safety regulations and industry standards
- Clean and sanitize shop area per checklists
- Use friendly, positive fear free tactics when dealing with the dogs.
- Help grow the business and book clients, provide callbacks when slow.
- Check in and Out Clients using our internal online booking software.
- Perform call backs for sales and booking growth as needed Part Time Position.
Commission to be determined based on experience and 100% tips The larger assets like the tub, table, dryer, kennel, cleaning supplies, shampoo/conditioner type supplies provided, wall cabinet & shelf for storage and more provided by company. All other grooming tools are the groomer's responsibility (scissors, clipper, brushes, clip combs etc.). Sharpening is the responsibility of the groomer. Qualifications for Groomer
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of dog breeds, styles
- Working knowledge of tools and techniques
- Ability to work independently without much supervision
- Ability to work full-time hours and when needed overtime.
- Use fear free methods and standards to provide expectational care
- A state issued driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Ability to effectively manage time.
- Organizational skills
- Be a team player!
Education and Experience Requirements A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Graduation from a grooming program is required or swap in for 3+ years of experience. Previous experience with dog grooming is required - candidate must provide portfolio of previous work. Any application without will be automatically denied.

Pay:
From $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 30.0 per week
