Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting pet owners and discussing their grooming needs.
  • Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, haircuts, and nail trims for various breeds of dogs and cats.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of pets during the grooming process.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
  • Communicate with pet owners regarding any health or behavior concerns observed during the grooming process.
  • Provide services accommodating pets needs.
Experience :
  • Previous experience as a pet groomer in a professional setting for 1-2 years or certification as a pet groomer.
  • Knowledge of different breed standards and grooming techniques.
  • Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and comfortably.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions from pet owners.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with pet owners and understand their grooming preferences.
If you do not have experience, but would like to try pet grooming, DMACC and Penn Foster Online offers grooming programs to receive certification. We are looking for someone who is available on Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Fridays. Shift times vary between the hours of 8am-4pm. Note that this position may require heavy lifting at times, as well as occasional kennel and cleaning duties.
