We currently have grooming opportunities available on: Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Thursday & Friday We are flexible and happy to discuss a schedule that works well for both the right candidate and our grooming team. Whether you're looking for a few consistent days each week or a fuller grooming schedule, we'd love to explore an arrangement that works well for everyone. What You'll Do As a Dirty Paws Groomer, you will: Provide high quality, professional grooming services , including bathing, blow drying, brushing, de-shedding, nail trimming, breed-specific cuts, and customized haircuts. Consult with pet owners to understand their dog's grooming needs, preferences, coat condition, and desired style. Deliver excellent customer service through friendly, professional, and clear communication. Recognize and communicate potential skin, coat, health, or behavioral concerns noticed during the grooming process. Handle every dog with patience, kindness, confidence, and appropriate safety techniques. Safely groom dogs of various breeds, sizes, coat types, ages, and temperaments. Maintain a clean, sanitary, organized, and safe grooming station and work environment. Follow proper sanitation, equipment care, and grooming safety procedures. Assist with lifting or positioning larger dogs when necessary while prioritizing the comfort and safety of the dog. Work cooperatively with our groomers, bathers, management team, and front-desk staff to provide an exceptional overall customer experience. What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate has: Previous professional dog grooming experience required: minimum 1 year preferred. Strong knowledge of breed specific cuts, coat types, grooming techniques, and proper tool use. Experience safely handling dogs with different personalities and temperaments. Knowledge of appropriate animal restraint and safe handling techniques. Strong attention to detail and pride in producing consistently high-quality work. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Good time-management and organizational skills. Patience, professionalism, dependability, and a genuine love for dogs. The ability to work independently while also being part of a collaborative team. The ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift or assist dogs weighing up to approximately 50 lbs. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Knowledge of canine behavior or dog training is a plus and can be especially helpful when working with nervous, young, senior, or behaviorally sensitive dogs.
