Responsibilities Perform pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, hair trimming, pet coat styling, nail trimming, and ear cleaning to meet each pet's specific needs. Handle dogs safely using animal restraint techniques and animal handling skills to ensure comfort and safety during grooming sessions. Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences, provide updates, and offer pet care advice. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, including sanitizing tools and equipment after each use. Assist with pet care tasks such as feeding, walking, or administering medications if required, demonstrating veterinary technician or assistant experience. Recognize signs of health issues or distress in animals and refer to veterinary professionals when necessary. Support kennel duties or pet sitting responsibilities as needed, including heavy lifting of animals or supplies. Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming, including pet coat styling and pet nail trimming. Strong dog handling skills with the ability to manage animals of various sizes and temperaments confidently. Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and animal handling best practices. Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners professionally and compassionately. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when necessary for animal or equipment handling. Prior experience in customer service within a pet care environment is preferred. Mandatory 2 years experience as a professional dog groomer is required.
