About Us:
At Priest River Animal Rescue, we are dedicated to providing compassionate care and a safe environment for animals in need. We are looking for a dedicated, dependable, and detail-oriented Animal Kennel Attendant to join our team and help us maintain the highest standards of care for our dogs and cats.
Key Responsibilities Sanitation & Hygiene:
Clean, sanitize, and disinfect cat cages, dog kennels, litter boxes, and outdoor runs following strict shelter protocols. Perform laundry and dishwashing using standard sanitizing agents.
Daily Animal Care:
Provide fresh food and water according to individual dietary needs; administer medications as directed.
Winter Maintenance:
Keep outdoor runs and essential walkways clear of snow and ice during winter months.
Communication & Coordination:
Maintain prompt communication via text regarding schedules, shift changes, and animal updates.
Qualifications & Requirements Dependability & Initiative:
Highly self-motivated, dependent, honest, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
Animal Comfort:
Comfortable handling both dogs and cats with no severe animal allergies.
Physical Capability:
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks, including snow shoveling.
Age & License:
Must be at least 16 years of age with reliable transportation.
Schedule Flexibility:
Must be able to work core morning hours (approx. 7:30 AM - 12:00 PM), short evening check-ins (1-2 hours), alternating weekends, and coverage for team vacations or sick leave.
Background Check:
Successful candidates must pass a background check and provide supervisory references.
Pay:
From $12.00 per hour Expected hours: 1.0 - 35.0 per week
