Kennel Technician

Job Description

Overview We are looking for a committed and caring kennel technician to care for 20+ resident dogs who call Pacifc Coast Dog Rescue their home. This includes all basic daily care task such as feeding dogs and cleaning kennels. A a kennel technician, attention to detail, compassion, and cleanliness are crucial. Duties
  • Prepare and give out food to dogs.
  • Ensure dogs have access to cold, clean water at all times.
  • Clean and maintain main all kennel areas both inside and out.
  • Scoop yards and kennel areas when needed.
  • Collect and wash dishes (such as dog bowls) each day and prepare them for next shift.
  • Wash, dry, and fold laundry such as dog blankets and cleaning rags. (Using a washer and dryer or clothes line)
  • Maintain a clean workspace including swept and mopped floors, clean counters and organized work spaces.
  • Take dogs to yards by leash several times a day
  • Complete basic groundskeeping duties such as weed-eating, mowing, raking, and trash pick up. Qualifications/Experience While no previous experience as a kennel technician is required, we are looking for a dedicated, long-term, passionate person who is ready and able to learn and complete all necessary tasks in a timely and thorough manner. While the position is part-time (roughly 25
  • 30 hours per week) this is a 5-day week position.
Solid communication skills, commitment and ability to work as a team are key qualities needed to be successful in this position. Applicants must be 18+ to apply

$17.50 per hour
