Job Description

Overview We are seeking an Experienced Lead Dog Daycare Attendant & Kennel Technician to join our team here at Carlson Canine Camp. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, strong leadership skills, and experience handling various dog breeds with confidence. Whether you're assisting with daily pet care routines or engaging in outdoor activities, your dedication will help create a safe, clean, and joyful space for animals to thrive. Duties Supervise and engage with dogs in playgroups, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Maintain cleanliness in the daycare area, including cleaning up after the dogs and sanitizing play equipment. Maintain cleanliness in the kennel, including cleaning up after the dogs, doing laundry, and washing dishes. Monitor the health and behavior of dogs, reporting any concerns to upper management promptly. Assist with feeding, administering medications, and providing general care for the dogs. Communicate effectively with the team as well as upper management regarding behavior and any special needs or concerns. Qualifications Previous experience in dog handling and animal care is required. Knowledge of dog training techniques or veterinary experience is a plus. Familiarity with pet grooming, pet sitting, or kennel operations is required. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or moving supplies. Attention to detail is a must and reliability is essential. Must work well with and and have the ability to lead a team. All employees MUST be able to work weekends and holidays. We are our busiest when everyone goes on vacation or out of town to see family, so we need "all hands on deck" during peak & holidays seasons! This leadership role pays $17-$18 per hour to start based on experience.
