Join our team as a Pet Care Technician and play a hands-on role in providing top-quality care for pets in a safe, clean, and loving environment. About the Role The Pet Care Technician is responsible for the daily care of animals, facility cleanliness, and providing outstanding customer service. You'll work closely with animals and their owners, ensuring each pet receives compassionate care and each client has a great experience. Key Responsibilities Provide daily care, feeding, and enrichment for pets Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary kennel and play areas Monitor animal health, behavior, and well-being Deliver excellent customer service to pet owners Assist with check-ins, check-outs, and record-keeping Perform routine cleaning and basic facility maintenance Be a positive, reliable, and flexible member of our team Qualifications Experience in pet care or animal handling preferred (1+ year ideal, but not required) Comfortable working with a variety of animal breeds and temperaments Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to follow safety and care protocols consistently Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (with reasonable accommodation) Willing to get dirty—kennel cleaning is part of the job! Working Conditions Indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditions Exposure to loud noise, cleaning chemicals, and animal waste Frequent walking, bending, and standing required Possible exposure to bites, scratches, or zoonotic diseases (PPE provided)
Compensation & Benefits Hourly Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00/hour (based on experience & references)
Expected Hours:
12 - 28 per week
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, weekends and holidays as needed
