Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and experience in providing high-quality grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering exceptional customer service to pet owners. Your role will involve grooming various breeds, maintaining cleanliness in the grooming area, and building strong relationships with both pets and their owners. We pay 40-45% commission depending on experience plus tips. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, cutting, brushing, and styling fur according to breed standards or owner preferences. Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during grooming sessions through proper animal handling and restraint techniques. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, including sanitizing tools and equipment after each use. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any health concerns observed during grooming. Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing their questions or concerns. Assist in managing appointments and scheduling for grooming services to optimize workflow. Handle heavy lifting when necessary, especially with larger breeds or equipment. Experience At least 1 year grooming experience. Experience with animal handling, restraint techniques, and pet care is essential for ensuring the safety of both pets and staff. Familiarity with kennel operations or equine experience can be beneficial in understanding animal behavior and care requirements. Strong customer service skills are necessary to foster positive relationships with clients and provide an outstanding experience for pet owners.
