In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for animals in a kennel environment. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the health and well-being of the pets while maintaining a clean and safe facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, strong customer service skills, and the ability to handle various breeds and sizes of dogs. Duties Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercising dogs. Maintain cleanliness of the facility to ensure a safe environment for pets. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management. Assist with basic dog training and socialization activities. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their animals' needs and behaviors. Perform heavy lifting when necessary (up to 50lbs) to move supplies or assist with larger dogs. Support veterinary staff by assisting with treatments or examinations as required. Requirements Experience in dog handling, animal care, or kennel work is preferred. Knowledge of animal behavior and basic training techniques is a plus. Previous veterinary assistant or technician experience is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners. Compassionate attitude towards animals with a commitment to their well-being.
