Job Summary Grow with us as a Dog Grooming Technician, where your passion for animals and grooming will shine! In this energetic role, you will learn as you go! Starting at the basic bathing position, you will move your way up to provide professional grooming services that enhance the health, hygiene, and appearance of our canine and feline clients. Your dedication to animal care and customer service will ensure every pet leaves looking and feeling their best. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in pet styling, handling, and animal care while working in a lively, pet-focused environment. Duties Perform pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling coats to meet client specifications and breed standards Safely handle dogs/cats of all sizes and temperaments using proper animal restraint techniques Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other grooming procedures with precision and care Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences and provide after-care advice Assist with pet handling during grooming appointments to ensure safety and comfort for animals Maintain a clean and organized grooming environment, including sanitizing tools and work areas regularly Assist in checking in/out and booking clients as needed. Skills Proven experience in dog grooming, pet coat styling, or related animal care roles Knowledge of dog training/handling techniques and veterinary experience is a plus Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage dogs safely during grooming procedures Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with pet owners and team members Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or large animals (nothing over 40lbs unassisted) Familiarity with animal restraint methods and pet care best practices Customer service-oriented mindset with a positive attitude towards pets and their owners This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to make a difference in pets' lives while honing their grooming talents.
