An Animal Care Worker or Manager manages animal care and grooming for a retail store that sells pets or for a pet grooming business. May also provide animal care and grooming at a kennel. Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

Job Description
- Assist in the daily care and well-being of animals in the kennel
- Provide food, water, and clean bedding for animals
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals
- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing
- Help with animal handling, including walking, exercising, and socializing
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennel areas and hospital
- Support veterinary staff with basic tasks as needed Experience
- Previous experience in a kennel or animal care setting is preferred
- Familiarity with veterinary assistant duties is beneficial
- Strong customer service skills for interacting with pet owners
- Ability to handle heavy lifting when necessary (50 pounds)
- Experience in animal handling and dog training is advantageous
- Capability to restrain animals safely and compassionately Shifts
- 8 am to 1 pm or 1 pm to 6 pm or 8 am to 6 pm. We make our schedules a month in advance.
- Weekends and holidays are a MUST.
