Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant growing team as a Dog Walker and sharpen your social & professional skills while working with animals! In this active role, you will be responsible for taking care of dogs of all sizes, breeds, and energy levels which is why patience is a must; no exceptions. You will be responsible for completing walks in a timely manner while following simple instructions. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for someone that likes working outdoors, likes getting paid to exercise, and most importantly loves working with dogs. Whether you're experienced in dog behavior or not, this role is perfect for motivated individuals looking to learn and get their feet wet in the pet care industry. Responsibilities Complete appointments in a timely manner Effectively communicate back-and-fourth with clients on their dog's behavior and/or special needs Administer basic pet care tasks such as feeding, watering, and medication if required Maintain a safe environment during walks and after visits, including proper animal restraint techniques and weather precautions. Enforce simple dog training commands by rewarding good behavior during walks. Maintain your equipment and uniform clean and safe, that includes making sure your vehicle is getting the proper maintenance is needs. Experience Prior customer service is a must, we deal face-to-face with clients/team regularly Bilingual is a plus Experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care is a plus Knowledge of dog training techniques is a plus Familiarity with animal restraint methods is plus Ability to skateboard is a plus Requirements Access to car Access to phone with internet Ability to work on your feet for 4-6 hours daily Have patience; we deal with dogs of all types, some can be stubborn Problem solving skills; for instances when we forget, misplace, and lose items Camera friendly; for instances involving social media promo, picturing client's dogs
Pay:
$14.00 - $18.00 per hour
