Job Description

A responsible and reliable individual who can be in charge of providing quality equine care in a small family-style 3-6 horse barn. We are looking to fill a Saturday shift as well as fill-in capabilities during busy times. The successful candidate must exhibit strong communication skills, extensive knowledge of horse care, as well as all barn work. The ability to work well as part of a team, as well as independently is essential. Due to the nature of the work, the ability to lift 50 lbs. and be very physically active is mandatory. An inclination toward tidiness and attention to detail are also essential. Only serious applicants will be considered for this year round position which includes holidays. Shifts include mornings 7:30

12:30, and afternoons 4:30
7:30.

Essential skills needed are:

knowledge of horse care, tidiness, strong work ethic, good communication skills.

Duties to include:

Feed horses/morning or afternoon/evening shift; cleaning stalls and barn; horse turnout
Horse care/grooming/first aid
Execute various barn upkeep/cleaning projects
Problem-solving/preforming minor barn/fence repairs
Work independently and fulfill all necessary tasks.

Required:

Equine First-Aid Experience in horse care Knowledge and experience with barn work Being able to work independently Reliability One-year commitment (at least)
