Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Groomers to join our team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills in pet grooming within a professional environment. An unpaid internship is available to help candidates familiarize themselves with grooming procedures before engaging in physical work, ensuring a smooth transition into the role. The Junior Groomer will assist with basic grooming tasks, learn industry best practices, and contribute to providing high-quality care for our clients' pets. Duties Assist senior groomers with bathing, drying, and basic grooming of pets to ensure they are clean and comfortable. Learn and follow grooming procedures, safety protocols, and hygiene standards. Support the team in maintaining a clean and organized grooming area. Observe and participate in grooming sessions during the internship period to gain practical experience. Prepare grooming tools and supplies for daily use. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs and preferences. Ensure the safety and well-being of pets throughout the grooming process. Requirements A genuine interest in pet care and grooming; prior experience is not required but is a plus. Willingness to participate in an internship to become familiar with grooming techniques before performing physical tasks. Strong attention to detail and a gentle approach when handling animals. Ability to follow instructions carefully and work as part of a team. Good communication skills and a positive attitude. Physical stamina to perform grooming tasks that may involve standing for extended periods and handling pets of various sizes. Early morning availability for opening shift 7:30am or 8:00am This position provides an excellent pathway for individuals eager to start a career in pet grooming, offering hands-on training and professional development opportunities in a supportive environment.
