We're a family-owned salon and pet food store in Carmel, IN, and we're looking for an experienced groomer to join the team. Culture fit matters to us as much as skill. We've built a skilled, upbeat, collaborative team, and we want to keep it that way. If you're positive, talented, and take pride in your craft, we'd love to meet you.
The role:
We're hiring one hybrid groomer to split time between our salon and our mobile vans. You'd be in the salon 2 to 3 days a week and out on the road 2 to 3 days a week. We're quality and customer experience focused.
Salon days:
Our groomers average 5 to 7 dogs per day, supported by our bathing team who bathes, brushes, and dries the majority of your dogs so you can focus on the groom.
Mobile days:
Our mobile groomers do 4 to 7 dogs per day in a 1:1 environment in our brand new grooming vans.
Why hybrid:
Full time mobile can get lonely. Full time salon can get loud. The mix gives you both. On salon days you've got a team around you, someone to ask when a dog is fighting you, an extra set of hands when you need one, and people who understand what your day was like. On mobile days it's quiet and focused, one dog at a time, start to finish. Most groomers find they come back to the salon glad to see everyone, and head out on the van glad for the quiet.
Requirements:
Proven professional pet/dog grooming experience with strong skills in bathing, full grooming, and breed-specific cuts. Deep passion for dogs and high-end pet care, including luxury grooming and premium nutrition. Excellent customer service skills—warm, engaging, informative, and able to build trust while conveying our premium, pet-centric vibe. Comfort and confidence handling diverse dogs in home/mobile environments. Reliable transportation mindset, strong time management, and ability to work independently while representing our elevated standards. Weekend availability is required (1 day/wk) peak demand aligns with family schedules! Detail-oriented, safety-focused, and dedicated to our values of luxury experiences, tailored care, and dog-loving excellence. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no major violations; will be verified).
What We Offer:
Competitive pay Paid time off Sharpening every ~6 weeks Annual Tool Allowance Employee discount on everything in the store A supportive, fun, and passionate team environment in a family-owned business Opportunities for growth, including continuing education support The daily joy of working with happy dogs and grateful owners!
