The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer/grooming assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet our clients' needs. Your role will involve working closely with various breeds and temperaments, showcasing your skills in animal handling and customer service. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to recommend appropriate grooming treatments. Handle animals with care and ensure their comfort during grooming sessions. Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area, tools, and equipment to ensure a safe environment. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and grooming options. Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing their concerns. Stay updated on grooming techniques, trends, and best practices in animal care. Assist in managing appointments and scheduling for grooming services as needed. Experience Previous experience in animal handling or dog training is preferred but not required. Familiarity with pet sitting, animal restraint, or working in a kennel or veterinary setting is a plus. Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners and address their needs. Knowledge of animal care practices, including understanding different breeds' grooming requirements. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
