Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Caretaker to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the daily care and well-being of various animals, ensuring they receive the attention and treatment they need. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal handling and a genuine passion for animal welfare. All employees work split shifts 6-10 am and 3-6 pm five days on, two days off. All employees work scheduled holidays. Candidates should be high school graduates or equivalent. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding and exercising. Administer medications Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to supervisory staff. Maintain cleanliness and organization in animal housing areas. Implement proper animal restraint techniques during handling. Ensure all animals are treated with kindness and respect at all times. Experience Previous experience in an animal care environment is preferred. Strong skills in dog handling and general animal care are essential. Familiarity with medication administration and animal restraint techniques is highly desirable. Knowledge of animal anatomy and basic animal handling practices will be beneficial. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being is crucial for success in this role.
