An Animal Care Worker or Manager manages animal care and grooming for a retail store that sells pets or for a pet grooming business. May also provide animal care and grooming at a kennel. Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

Job Description
- 6PM, Thursday 8AM
- 2PM, and Saturday 7:30AM
- 12PM. Shifts may vary. Some days you may be required to stay a little beyond your shift until appointments are finished for the day. Occasional holiday/weekend coverage may be required. Experience working with animals required. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Feed, walk, and provide daily care of boarding and hospitalized pets
- Record keeping and documentation of pets in our care
- Clean and disinfect cages, runs, food bowls, water bowls, and litter boxes
- Utilize washer and dryer to clean laundry
- Bathe boarding pets before they go home
- Administer medications as directed by veterinarian
- Attention to detail is a must. Recognize and report any abnormalities observed including changes in urination/bowel movement or eating habits
- Sweep and mop kennel, treatment room, and surgical suite
- Pet waste cleanup in yard
- Empty garbage cans
- Assist veterinarians and technicians utilizing proper animal restraint techniques
- Ability to lift and carry over 40lbs
