Responsibilities This position is starting as a part time - weekend position and is fully commission based + tips Perform comprehensive pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, hair trimming, pet coat styling, and nail trimming in a mobile setting. Handle pets safely and confidently using animal restraint techniques while ensuring their comfort during grooming procedures. Communicate clearly with pet owners to understand grooming preferences, provide updates on pet behavior, and offer advice on pet care and maintenance. Maintain a clean and organized mobile grooming station, including sanitizing tools and equipment after each appointment. Manage scheduling appointments efficiently while providing excellent customer service to build lasting client relationships. Assist with pet handling tasks such as veterinary-related procedures or animal restraint when necessary, demonstrating veterinary experience or veterinary technician background if applicable. Lift heavy grooming equipment or supplies safely as needed to ensure smooth operations throughout the day. Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming, including pet coat styling and pet nail trimming. Strong animal handling skills with experience in dog handling, animal restraint, and general animal care. Background in veterinary assistance or veterinary technician work is highly desirable for understanding animal health needs. Knowledge of dog training techniques and familiarity with kennel experience or pet sitting is a plus. Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners and providing outstanding customer service. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work independently in a mobile environment.
